In order to support its growth objectives and solidify its strategic positioning, the company is looking to integrate a Senior Director in Personal Insurance. This key position combines leadership, operational management, business development and maintaining quality relationships with various insurers to contribute to the continued success of the organization.

Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Personal Insurance, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the personal insurance department. Working with a team of seasoned managers and professionals, your mission will be to ensure growth, diversification of the client portfolio, profitability, talent development and excellence in customer service.

Main responsibilities:

o Supervise, mobilize and coach managers in order to optimize their contribution in a constantly changing environment.

o Promote the achievement of growth, sales and loyalty objectives.

o Develop strong relationships with insurers and effectively communicate opportunities and challenges.

o Represent the company at industry events and activities.

o Ensure the firm’s influence and remain at the forefront in the minds of clients in terms of insurance.

o Monitor and analyze key performance indicators.

o Improve operational processes and ensure team efficiency (telephony, quality of service, etc.).

o Participate in the development of methods and procedures.

o Work closely with the Human Resources department to support employee development.

o Develop and execute an annual business plan aligned with department priorities.


Profile sought

The ideal candidate holds a university degree in administration, management or a related field, ideally with a specialization in insurance. He or she has a minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance sector (a significant asset), and experience in managing large multi-site and remote teams. The latter is perfectly bilingual and has strategic leadership, he or she demonstrates emotional intelligence to mobilize teams and foster a climate of collaboration. His or her exceptional communication skills allow him or her to interact effectively with various stakeholders, while his or her strong organizational and analytical skills support rigorous and structured management.

Finally, he or she has excellent mastery of technological tools, in particular CRM platforms (Salesforce, Applied), NICE and the Office 365 suite, as well as in-depth knowledge of insurance products and current regulations.
