We are looking for an experienced manager to lead the company's security, fire prevention and emergency management programs, ensuring a safe environment for tenants, employees and visitors to one of their prestigious properties on Montreal's South Shore.
Job specification
Reporting to General Property Management, the Security Manager plays a key role in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of security strategies. He/she ensures regulatory compliance and industry best practices, while proactively managing risks and incidents. His/her role includes supervising outsourced security teams, coordinating prevention programs and managing security-related budgets.
Main responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize operational safety, fire safety and occupational health and safety (OH&S) programs.
- Ensure compliance with legislative standards and internal policies.
- Lead the health and safety committee and ensure implementation of best practices.
- Implement emergency response and business continuity plans.
- Manage surveillance and access control systems to prevent potential threats.
- Lead the investigation and analysis of security incidents to improve existing protocols.
- Train teams and stakeholders on security and response procedures.
- Optimize security budgets and ensure effective management of resources.
Required profile
We're looking for a rigorous, organized professional with inspiring leadership and a proactive approach to risk management. With a minimum of 7 years' experience in security management in a commercial or complex real estate environment, he/she has excellent knowledge of current regulations, technological security tools (CCTV, access control, alarms) and the management of collective agreements and security guard contracts. Her/his strategic sense, communication skills and ability to make quick decisions enable her/him to effectively manage crisis situations and ensure an environment that complies with the highest standards.
