Our client operates in the green energy ecosystem and is looking to add a Construction Director to oversee all activities related to construction site management, throughout North America.

The incumbent will be called upon to supervise the work of project leaders and site managers, coordinate the various consultants involved in projects as they progress, and establish collaborations with major Canadian builders.

In addition to the day-to-day management of construction projects, the Construction Director will implement a range of monitoring tools and control plans to optimize the coordination of all parties involved. Having an overview will enable you to deal more effectively with unforeseen events on site, and to resolve them quickly.

The Construction Director will also have to develop the game plan for each project, determine the resources required, evaluate financial performance by rigorously monitoring contracts/budgets, mobilize teams in the field and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies.

You have a university degree in engineering, combined with at least 10 years' experience in managing large-scale projects. You are a self-starter with excellent analytical skills, critical thinking, and strong negotiating skills. You are an inspiring and dynamic leader, a good team player and a good listener who can adapt and respond to the various problems that may arise on the sites and with the different stakeholders.
