Our client, a major player in the retail industry, is looking to add a member to its human resources team to primarily serve its growing territory in the Outaouais region. 

Job specification

The incumbent will play a key HR generalist role, working closely with the management teams in his/her sector. He/she will make a significant contribution to the achievement of the company's strategic objectives, by aligning processes with the vision, culture, and employer brand. The candidate will be responsible for providing consistent high-quality service and tailored advice and solutions to internal customers (customer group = approx. 150 employees in a bilingual, non-unionized working environment). Concretely:

• You will be the point of contact for employees and managers in your area, acting as a business partner in the application of human resources management policies and procedures.

• In collaboration with the management team, you will be involved in employee disciplinary management, occupational health and safety, recruitment, training, performance management, and maintaining a healthy work environment.

• The role also includes participation in various special human resources projects.

Required profile

You have a university degree in HR/RI or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role (CHRP will be considered an asset). You have excellent interpersonal skills and an aptitude for communication and popularization, as well as being an excellent team player. You're resourceful, autonomous, and structured, and you use discretion and sensitivity to address complex situations. Your positive leadership, listening skills, and understanding of HR issues are also greatly appreciated.
